3 Ways to Celebrate St. Patty’s Day

For many of us, one of the best days of the year is quickly approaching. Tuesday, March 17th, 2015. For those of you who choose to live under rocks, it’s St. Patrick’s Day.

It’s one day, and therefore it’s one chance each year to make a legend of yourself. Here’s a bit of Irish advice to get you there.

1. Guinness

I think the word Guinness is beautiful by itself. But coupled with the fact that it represents a great beer, the word takes on even more beauty. It’s an Irish drink, obviously. Therefore, it needs to be utilized all day on St. Patty’s Day. Enjoy it, appreciate it, love it. When the 18th arrives, you should be out of stock. But of course, be responsible. Allow your friends to have some.

2. Pinch, But Appropriately

Pinching people because they are Irish is a popular tradition. But once again, act responsibly. If they are in physical pain or feel that you are threatening them, you might want to cease and desist. Maybe try someone else for awhile?

3. Pretend To Be Irish

A lot of people pretend to be things they are not. So why not join them right (only partially kidding)? It’s okay, because it’s only one day. How do you act Irish?

1) Whatever alcohol you are drinking, demand a harder one.

2) Whatever genre of music is playing, demand Celtic music.

3) Whenever someone requests a beer, hand them Guinness.

See, it’s not hard to celebrate St. Patty’s Day. It IS hard to celebrate it the right way. Luckily, if you start with these tips, you will be able to be Irish for a day.

Good luck!
