The first episode of each Bachelor and Bachelorette season never fails me. It is an event. It’s a fucking holiday. Some lonely hot man or woman is left to meet a batch of potential psychopaths and hopefully his or her life partner is hiding in the rubbish. The arrival of limos filled with women in gowns, the cheesy lines they utter to their future husband, the drunkenness that quickly follows and the accompaniment of stranger drama, jealousy, and crazy eyes… I’m so obsessed. There are a few unwritten rules for the

I still have yet to find the words to describe it, but Middle Earth is, in my humble opinion, an unrivaled fictional world. Tolkien immortalized his literary prowess with The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, which was only confirmed a decade ago with the popularity the film series put together by Peter Jackson. The release of The Hobbit films over the past three years has gotten me incredibly giddy, and I will start by saying that I am thrilled that this saga did not go the way of

I have been complaining about the demise of Saturday Night Live for quite some time now. Many of my ilk will recall the “good old days,” when names like Will Ferrell, Cheri Oteri, Chris Kattan, and Tim Meadows (to name a few) became synonymous with laugh out loud humor. Today, unfortunately, the long-running show seems more occupied with making glaring political and social statements. Timid outrage aside, there were still some glimmers as the ship began to sink. Both Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader brought life to NBC’s floundering comedy

While everyone is rehashing the latest episodes of Mad Men and Game of Thrones next Monday, I’ll be embarking on quite a different adventure. April 21st marks the return of Cartoon Network’s cult animated series Adventure Time, which will be entering its sixth season. Full of frenetic characters and colorful fantasy locales, it’s easy to see why the show has been such a phenomenal success with the network’s preteen demo, but that’s not all this wacky cartoon brings to the table. In fact, it’s difficult to describe its appeal without

Val Kilmer is awesome and these are his most memorable roles. One role that just missed my top five is him as Bruce Wayne in Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever and that is only because I had to include a single episode TV role he took on that is hilarious. There is something about Val Kilmer that makes him fun to watch. It doesn’t even matter if the movie is good or not. All that matters is that he is beyond entertaining on the big screen. Let the list begin.. 5

My name is Awesome. Oh sorry I meant “Earl.” My Name is Earl. The hilarious show is absolutely amazing and deserves nothing but a 5 star rating, even if the option existed to only give 4 stars. I was blessed to be given the opportunity to watch it on a hard drive. Because of this, I was able to see all 4 seasons continuously. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard I had tears coming out of my eyes. This genius show is based around the character,

It’s a strange and exciting time to be a comic book fan. It used to be that only A-grade characters like Superman and Batman could be afforded the big screen treatment, but that’s clearly no longer the case, ever since the X-men and Spider-man films helped the genre to explode in the early 2000s. The fact that my mother knows who Hawkeye is goes to show just how deep these movies have penetrated our culture, and as far as anybody can tell, they show no signs of slowing down. Movie
